Portrait Pricing and Information
Portraits are generally informal and photographed outdoors in natural or urban settings. Casual reality is emphasized over formal rigidity. In short, the portrait sessions are a lot of fun. Laughter, play and familial banter are encouraged!
Each shoot is customized to meet your needs. If there is something you have in mind that differs from the packages described here, please feel free to ask! Many variations and add-ons can be accommodated.
Basic Package - $315.00
This includes a photo session for up to six subjects at a local, outdoor location of your choice. You receive a hardbound, leather photo book containing the images from your shoot, and a digital photo CD that gives you the freedom to print as many photos as you like, in any size, either on your home computer or at your local photo lab. You hold all non-commercial reprint rights to the images.
Hand Painted Package - $600.00
This option includes the basic package above, and supplements it with an enlarged, hand painted, archival photographic print of the image of your choice. I use a variety of materials to produce vibrant color, including oil paint, pastel, colored pencil and small amounts of metallic acrylic. My style is unconventional and bold, leaning away from the transparent tinting most often associated with hand painted photographs. The final piece receives a protective coating which inhibits damage from UV light and atmospheric pollutants. The image size is 11x14 inches. Larger works and additional reproductions of your painted piece are available by request.
Senior Portrait - $275.00
Natural, relaxed and real. Black and white, color or both. A departure from the stiff and stylized studio portrait, customized to reflect the authentic person inside the accomplished graduate. Photo CD, proofs or leather bound book and unlimited non-commercial printing rights are all yours.
Shipping
Proofs, photo books, CDs and hand painted pieces are shipped and insured via UPS ground delivery.
Payment
- A 50% deposit is required to schedule and reserve your photo shoot. The balance is due the day of the shoot. Your personal check is welcome. I do not accept credit cards.
- Payment in full is due the day of the photo shoot, and includes shipping and handling of your photographs.
- Your deposit is fully refundable should you need to cancel you session for any reason, with 48 hours notice.
- Because all of the photography takes place outdoors in natural light there are a limited amount of photo shoots available each week. I often work from a waiting list. I ask for 48 hour notice of cancellation so that I have time to contact families that may be waiting, giving them sufficient notice so they can be scheduled in your place.
